With a career spanning over 4 decades, there is no doubt that Candlemass are rightfully considered the godfathers of epic doom. Leif Edling and company has the last few years revitalised themselves, and even brought home a Grammy nomination this year, but it doesn't keep them from remembering and honouring their roots. And we are mighty glad we do, because no doom album has perhaps made such an impact on the metal world than their 1987 sophomore and legendary “Nightfall”, which will be brought to justice from start to finish in Grieghallen during Beyond the Gates.
